Our final newsletter of this academic year...
Dear Parents and Carers
A Fantastic Summer Term and a Fantastic Year
As we come to the end of the academic year, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this year such an incredible success for the academy.
To all of the parents and carers who have provided so much support and positivity to the children and the staff – it makes such a difference to the community and the outcomes of the children.
To all of the volunteers, governors and staff, your efforts throughout the year have been truly enormous. We have achieved our best ever results in some key areas of the school, while providing children with so many incredible opportunities, trips and visitors.
And to the children who give us the reason to do what we do. Keep working hard, keep grabbing each opportunity with both hands and keep making Kingsham Primary School a very special place to be.

Reminder – School finishes at 1:15pm on Wednesday 22

Staff Leaving Kingsham Primary School
As we come to the end of the year, we say goodbye to Miss Davis and Mrs Collyer.
Miss Davis has been with us for the last two terms as the teacher of Pear class. We are thankful to her for her work with Pear class and wish her luck as she continues her teaching career at Bishop Tufnell CE Primary School.
Mrs Collyer has been with the school for 15 years and has played an important role as an HLTA and leading our Forest Schools. Our children always talk about their love for forest schools and this is a huge credit to Mrs Collyer. She is going to join Lavant CE Primary School in September.
We wish them both very well in their new schools.

Miss K is Getting Married!
We are very excited to announce that Miss K is getting married during the summer holidays. We wish both her and Mr K a really memorable day and honeymoon.
Miss K wants to be known as Mrs K from September.
School Meals from September 2026
As from 3rd September 2026, our school meals provider is changing. This is a change across schools in West Sussex as they move from Chartwells to ISS.
You will therefore, need to use a new app to book your school meals. The organisation with this app is still being finalised, but as soon as it ready to go we will email you on this subject so that you are all set up for the first day back after the summer holidays.
Celebrating Your Birthday Next Year
We know that children love to celebrate their birthdays and for others to recognise them on their special day.
From next year we will be allowing children to come to school in non-school uniform on their birthday.
If their birthday is during a weekend or a holiday, they can choose to wear non-school uniform on the day before the weekend/holiday or the day after.
PE Days from September 2026
All children will need to come into school wearing their PE kits for the whole day on the days which they have PE.

Meet the teacher in Rec, Year 5 and 6
For parents and carers of children in Year 5 and 6 (Beech, Poplar and Birch) the meet the teacher meeting will be on Thursday 3rd September at 3:25pm in the hall. Parents and Carers of children in Reception will meet the teacher during the home visits that have been organised.
Breakfast and After School Club
From next week, you will be able to book sessions of Breakfast and/or After School Club for the Autumn term. Please go to your Arbor app where you can book any of the sessions that you wish. Breakfast club is £4.50 per session and After School Club is £8.00 per session.
Summer Reading Challenge
We continue to urge you to read with your children, to read to your child and listen to them read over the summer holidays. Sharing books makes such a difference to a child’s learning throughout the year and we do not want it to stop over the 6-week break.
Why not take part in the Summer Reading Challenge – ‘Read to the Beat’ – information below:
Also, could you please have a look for any Kingsham books. Every year we lose a significant amount of books that we have to replace. If you find any, please bring them back to the school office.
