Our second day in Little Canada and the first full day of activities.
All of the children slept really well through the night, and some were even up this morning enjoying games of cards and Twister before breakfast.
After a big breakfast to fuel us for the day, we headed straight into our activities. Today, the children have taken on kayaking, the zip wire and the Vertical Challenge.
Today everyone went kayaking in a beautiful spot from the beach where we could see Portsmouth on the other side of the Solent. After a short walk down to the beach, everyone got into a kayak in pairs or threes and went out onto the ocean. It was a real joy to watch the teamwork, the collaboration and the sense of humour of the children as they paddled with their instructors.
So many children have really tested themselves against challenges, often showing resilience to go two steps higher on a climbing activity for example.
This evening, after dinner and some well-earned chill time, we will be heading out for Ambush - Miss Noble and Mrs K’s favourite evening activity! It is essentially a giant group game of hide and seek in the dark, so we are expecting lots of excitement!
Then it will be time to wind down with another bedtime story before hopefully another good night’s sleep.
A huge well done to all of Year 6 for another fantastic day. They continue to make us very proud!
