Pupils across the school dressed in green to celebrate Just One Day on Friday 16th October. The Green Gang members led the whole school assembly to explain the significance of the day and why trees are important to us and the planet.
Donations were collected on the day, and we are awaiting to find out how big our worldwide forest has grown, which currently stands at an amazing 1127 trees!

The Green Gang Members and the School Council were fortunate enough to attend the bulb planting event in aid of polio with The Rotary Club for the second year running. The children planted purple crocus bulbs on the green alongside another school to support this event. It was a wonderful opportunity which the children enjoyed immensely.

Pupils at Kingsham were very fortunate to be able to take part in launching The Hidden Treasure Hunt Campaign. Kingsham, alongside another local school, were filmed as part of this nationwide e-waste campaign.
The campaign encourages everyone to recycle their broken or unwanted tech items at their local Currys or visit 'recycle your electricals' to find a local drop-off point to stop these hidden treasures going to waste.
With this initiative, we are able to help the planet but also help the school to win tech prizes, and it is so easy to do!

You can watch the video and find out what this worthwhile campaign is all about.

The Green Gang took part in a litter pick out in the local community today in an attempt to keep the local area clean and free from litter.

We estimate they collected just over two hundred pieces of litter between them - big and small. The most common items they found were cans, sweet wrappers and cigarette butts.

A big thank you to Mrs Pope and Mr Tarrant, who helped support The Green Gang to tackle this important environmental issue.
